House of Inkantation is a music label, craft collective, event organizer, and visual media platform based in Gotha, Thuringia.

Building on a legacy that began in 2006, House of Inkantation brings two decades of boots-on-the-ground experience to the music business. With over 100 in-house releases and a deep history in project development, we don’t focus on superficial polish—we focus on the core of the art.

Between 2018 and 2025, we were instrumental in supervising productions and developing projects for Eisenwald, alongside collaborations with labels like Prophecy Productions. Our expertise lies in a refined intuition for product aesthetics and a grounded approach to development. We understand how to guide a release from the initial idea to the final product without losing its soul.

The label brings together artists connected through a shared fascination with folklore, mysticism, and expressive forms of dark folk and extreme music. Releases move freely between acoustic compositions, ritual soundscapes, atmospheric works, and diverse interpretations of black metal — without pursuing a fixed sound or strict genre definition.

Different languages, backgrounds, and artistic methods converge naturally, reflecting the international character of the label and its surroundings. Some projects are deeply rooted in traditional influences, others emerge from personal, experimental, or confrontational approaches. What unites them is not style, but intention — music created from necessity, curiosity, and inner vision rather than formula or trend.

House of Inkantation functions as a cauldron of individual voices, shaped by place, experience, memory, and imagination. The label serves as a platform for artists working beyond established structures, offering space for intensity, authenticity, and uncompromising creative expression.

Alongside music production, House of Inkantation provides layout, audio, and visual media services, striving to realize as much as possible in-house. Attention to detail, coherence, and atmosphere are central to each project. Beyond music, handcrafted jewelry from natural materials and unique ritual incenses are created.

House of Inkantation is also known for its carefully curated events, including concert series such as Samhain Celebration, Thüringer Rauhnacht and Herbst Equinox. In addition, intimate gatherings — readings, musical excursions, and seasonal rituals — take place regularly, further shaping the label’s distinct identity.
