The next Thüringer Rauhnacht is approaching – and with its fourth edition, we return to the roots of the event. Together, we have crafted a special program showcasing a wide musical spectrum of extreme metal. This year stands under the sign of German-Austrian friendship.

With ASPHAGOR, we present an uncompromising black metal force that has been wreaking havoc for nearly 20 years – setting the tone right from the start and shaking every nerve awake.

Also hailing from Austria, we welcome VINSTA – an extraordinary act that could hardly be more traditional at its core. Early Opeth-inspired death metal fused with Alpine folklore and dialect – a level of uniqueness, innovation, and atmosphere rarely found today.

And as all good things come in threes, we proudly present PERCHTA as the third band from Austria. Both visually and sonically, this formation could not be more fitting for the Rauhnächte: when Frau Percht unleashes her unmistakable cult and ancient knowledge into the Mother Nights, an intense co-headlining set awaits.

Of course, no Rauhnacht would be complete without authentic Thuringian pagan metal. With XIV DARK CENTURIES, we welcome a true piece of metal history: their “JUL” EP celebrates its 20th anniversary, and we can look forward to a special headlining set spanning the band’s entire legacy.

Last but not least, we welcome GJALLAR once again. After the outstanding feedback from last year, we are excited for a special extended set that will dive even deeper into the vast Falkenbach universe – culminating in an epic finale to this year’s Rauhnächte.

The 4. Thüringer Rauhnacht will take place on December 19, 2026, at Gleis3Eck in Waltershausen.
